Our Story
Why a social enterprise opened a coffee kiosk in the basement of Singapore's first air-conditioned mall.
The Bridge is a non-profit project of serendipET, a Singapore social enterprise founded in 2016 on a simple belief: those who have the capacity to give, should.

For nearly a decade, serendipET has run experiential programmes, camps, teambuilding and outdoor adventures across Singapore — while channelling our work into supporting persons with disabilities, animal welfare groups, low-income families, mental health support groups and youths. Help when you can, where you can.
Why "The Bridge"?
We believe food and nourishment are more than just sustenance — they are the common ground that brings people together. A cup of coffee is one of the simplest shared experiences there is. That's why we're called The Bridge: every cup bridges the gap between those who can give and those who need it, and connects individuals from all walks of life over something warm.
To make sure our mission reaches those who need it most, 100% of our nett profits are channelled directly into social causes — from uplifting low-income families to empowering individuals with special needs.
Why Katong Shopping Centre?
Our kiosk sits at B1-K128 in the basement of Katong Shopping Centre on Mountbatten Road — Singapore's first air-conditioned shopping mall, opened in 1973. It's a building full of stories, and its basement is quietly one of the East Coast's great food destinations: home to the famous Katong chicken rice and the beloved banana pie shops that people cross the island for.
We love being part of that neighbourhood — a short walk from the Katong and Joo Chiat heritage area, serving mall regulars, East-siders, and food pilgrims alike.
Come say hi
